I was wondering if there is a file on your computer that saves your AIM away messages that you can save to a CD or disk to move it to another computer?
Away Messages are saved in your registry.
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareAmerica OnlineAOL Instant Messenger (TM)CurrentVersionUsersIAmGoneList
you can right click the folder, and export.
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareAmerica OnlineAOL Instant Messenger (TM)CurrentVersionUsersIAmGoneList? I don’t have America Online so I don’t know where I would look. Does that matter?
No, It goes by company then software. America Online is the company, not the software AOL. It should be the same on every version of AIM.
To get to the registry, Start > Run > ‘regedit’
Thank you very much. I got it to work!
