MemberWe do not support that kind of information here. There are multiple booters, I’m sorry but we won’t supply you with one or with a link to get one. Sorry!

MemberWhats that smell? -your breath blowing back into your face 😀
Sorry.
Back to your question, Have you tried blocking this person from sending you messages? You can try using Trillian… there are some ways around this. Report him to AOL? Get an anti-booter if there is one for AIM.. theres a few sudjestions, tell us what works for you.February 14, 2003 at 8:37 pm #98906Tracer
MemberDon’t think there is any anti-booters out there yet. Something that should be developed a much need product.
If you want to figure out who is booting you log into AIM Express
http://www.aim.com/get_aim/express/aim_expr.adp
It will show the users screen name and they won’t be able to boot you. Then you can place them on your blocked list. However, there are some booters (punt) programs that can get around that even if you have them blocked. If that is the case you will need to change your options in AIM to only allow the users in your buddy list to IM you and block all others.
Don’t expect much help from AOL when it comes to someone booting you.:(

MemberFYI there are NO BOOTERS. AOL has fixed the problem but in the new beta there is a way…

MemberSo there is a way. fatal, you could have used a little bit more information that that. You could have said something like “the current version of AIM does not allow booters to ‘boot’, but with the new beta coming out, or the one that is out, allows booters to ‘boot’.

Its not helping anyone by attacking new members and this style of attack is becoming common by you and should cease immediately.Leave those types of comment to moderators to make if they so wish.
Your input is not welcome if your current style is maintained.

MemberSince when am I not authorized to make such comment? Please tell me. I dont remember reading anywhere that only moderators are allowed to use such words. I thought that this was an open forum disscusion. Meaning anyone, everyone is allowed to post. Moderators? Yeah, they were picked by Jeff to help maintain, and help clean up the forums. Like junior admins NO? Yeah, they were picked because they are specialized in the area they moderate. I was not directing any which kinda of attack, as you mentioned. I was just trying to direct a new member to post more clearly. Whart is wrong with that? Did you take it into a different consideration? You must have. Im not hear to attack, nor flame anybody, unless its nessassary, on my behalf, which where, I am the victium, which has never happened here (yet!). I do not feel that I am in the wrong here. Please discribe else wise.

Quote:quote: Whats that smell? -your breath blowing back into your faceTasteless and rude.
Quote:quote: Feel, what are you talking about? Ling? are you meaning a link? And if thats the case WHICH one? Every link on this page that was provided to the prublic does work. Please explain. No explanation was required, the post was quite clear to me. Unfortunately… another new member belittled, and please, look at your own spelling before ‘ticking off’ someone else.
Quote:quote: You could have said something like blah blah blah…This type of advise to new members is best handled by moderators who can be expected to do it with understanding, a better use of english and in a non condescending manner.

How did it add to the topic? He clearly stated the information he had. Twistedmetal, if you have further questions email Jeff or I. Topic locked.
