MemberI was wondering if i could change the size of the aim buddylist to whatever I want. If so how:confused:
[Edit]: Subject adjusted, ‘need help’ isn’t a very descriptive subject. In addition, topic has been locked.

MemberIs there a way to get AIM (or create anouther program) to sign on to 2 screen names and use both there 200 buddies in one buddy list to create a virtual “400 buddy”, buddy list but still have AIM only use one screen name to send messages?
CobraR13- there is no way to increase the amount of buddies in the buddy list. There was once a time where you could edit the registry but now the aim server blocks more than 200 buddies (or around that number).

MemberYes but he wants a way to intergrate both buddy lists into one, and not have to switch back and forth with tabs. Wetdog, there is currently no way but many people i know are taking the idea of making a program that can do this into consideration.

Memberhmm well i made a post about this once, there is no resource that holds this (only the error message displayed when u go ovr) and there is a registry value for MaxBuddies that is set to 200 but that resets evry time u sign on. ur buddy list is stored on the aim server so theres no way to go ovr 200 buddies just wit a simple tweak. u can howevr get a program like trillian and that will allow u to have ovr 200 buddys

MemberThis is covered in our AIM frequently asked section.
Q: How can I get more than 200 people on my buddy list?
A: You can’t. Since AOL starting storing buddylist information on their servers (and not on your computer) this became impossible.Members, if anyone asks a question that is covered in our FAQ, please direct them to the FAQ instead of answering the question again. If the information in the FAQ is incorrect, insufficient or outdated, just contact me and I will adjust the FAQ.
Thanks. 🙂
