I have been running AIM 6 for quite sometime, but a couple months ago a problem started that I’ve not been able to solve.
When I open the program and send the first text, I get this COPYRIGHT NOTICE at the top of the log window and hundreds of lines of code following. When the receiver of the text writes back, it never comes back.I have reloaded AIM several times, but nothing seems to help. Any ideas? Anyone??
Thanks in advance for any help!

When you say “at the top of the log window”, do you mean the conversation window? In the Instant Messaging world, “log” generally refers to “a saved copy of a conversation for future reference”.
Whatever you mean by “log window”, I suggest completely uninstalling AIM and reinstalling. Do to the strangeness of your issue, I also highly recommend updating your antivirus software and doing a full system scan. If you don’t have antivirus software or your subscription license has expired, uninstall anything that has expired, and pick up some free antivirus software such as Avira or Avast.

It seems it affects version 6 of AIM and there are workarounds listed that you can try.
Please let me know if this solves the problem for you.
