Apparently you don’t know much about the RIAA/MPAA. They have mistakenly sent threatening e-mails to college professors because their last names where the same last names of popular Music sensations. Of course they can mainstream all 4 IM clients along with IRC and AOL Rooms. Are you forgetting who exactly the RIAA are? Do you realize how much power they have over ISPs and companies, not only to be allowed to monitor what ppl do, but to then use that evidence against them..
Apparently, you don’t know much about P2P filesharing. Why the heck would the RIAA spit through millions of messages where maybe two are related to copyright violatoins?
You can simply connect to KaZaA or WinMX, search for a file, attempt to start a download and then retrieve the IP of the person you are downloading from. I can do it, you can do it, RIAA does it. You should actually examine the opennap and the fasttrack P2P protocols and get your facts straight.
Lay off the paranoia. 🙂

lol….apparently you have not heard of the RIAA’s Hitlist, they have bots that do this for them so they can focus their time on other things aka IM programs and IRC 🙂
