ok guy this message has been constantly popping up for weeks now, and is getting worse every day. Now every time I even attempt to sign on to AIM, it gives me this message.

I have the latest version of AIM, no add ons, but I have tried to download AIM+ before and I think that has messed it up because AIM+ is known to have spyware on it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled AIM, and AIM+ and have tried to get an older version. Nothing is working. I even went through some steps to get the spyware out of AIM+ just in case that was the problem. I cannot get on AIM!

i had this problem on yahoo but never on aim I fixed it by restoring my computer to its default settings. you could also try system restore if your running windows xp hope it helps

AIM+ doesnt have spyware Aim Plus does. And AIM+ doesnt work witht the latest version of AIM. So you should uninstall it Start>Control Panel>Add Remove Programs then click AIM+.

How long have this happened?

Try to do the Windows Update, it may fix the problem.

I had the same error when I talk to people on AOL, and im pretty sure the cause was because I updated Windows Update. But they just released another update and I updated it and now it works. So try that and email me at [Stop asking for personal contact] with the result.

Have you tried running Ad-aware or spybot search and destroy?

I had that same problem before but it got fixed when I reinstalled AIM… You reinstalled it and it didn’t get fixed so I don’t know the solution to your problem… You can try uninstalling AIM+ That might work… Aim+ is not a good program… You can try heading to http://www.aimutation.com or get DEAD AIM. Their both good.

She doesn’t need any add-ons. that will make things worse. AIM+ doesn’t bother her AIM.. its not considered an Add-On.. its more of “just a cloner” . I would uninstall AIM (which means deleting the AIM folder in Program files also) .. Install AIM 5.2.3292 or 5.5.3572 you can get them both at http://www.oldversion.com Never had a problem with either of them. Although 5.5.3598 when someone IMs you when your away message is on and u double click to see their message your AIM freezes so do not get 5.5.3598 . Hope this helps.
