KeymasterHeather, I removed your email address because posting your email address like that makes it susceptible to harvesting by spammers. They use programs that search through web sites looking for email addresses to add to their lists.
Users who want to contact you via email can click the Email poster icon:
and send you a message through the site. This hides your email address until you choose to expose it (by replying or whatever). Now, on to your question…
First of all, AIM Expressions require AIM version 5.0 or newer. If your friends are using an earlier version of AIM, they cannot see them.
Second, they must configure AIM to “Show AIM Expressions from others.” They can be turned on or off by going to My AIM > Edit Options > Edit Preferences > AIM Expressions and making sure they’ve checked that option. This is an option because some people don’t want to see other people’s AIM Expressions, ever!
Check those two things with your friends, and let us know if it’s still not working after trying that.

MemberAlso only AOL created expressions will show up on your buddies IM. If it was created by anyone else AOL’s servers will block the expression from showning up.

KeymasterThat’s a bummer. So only “authorized” expressions can be shared? Too bad. 🙁

MemberJeff, is it just me, or should this topic be in the AIM forum area?

KeymasterThanks, Spidey. Topic moved.
And Heather, when you want to reply, use the reply link, not the new topic link, ok? I’ve moved your reply to this discussion:
Quote:quote:thank you for responding. so does that mean when it has a check next to show aim expressions from others it’s on or off once again thank you very much. HeatherApril 18, 2003 at 10:00 pm #63352hlmoya
