Error message when AIM starts. AOL instant messenger has encountered a problem and will shut down. Have tried uninstall/reinstall, spybot S&D, adaware, virusscan, to no avail. What next??
What version are you running?
Maybe try with the latest version, and some old versions.
When you updated, did you uninstall the old version first (if not it might have left some of the old files rather than writing over them)? could it be a memory problem?
I don’t have an older version. Where would I get one??
Does not appear to be a memory problem, AIM worked previous to scanning.
Furthermore, I downloaded and installed the Windows XP update for point to point networking, and now the AIM starts, but then shuts down on its own.
