First, I do NOT use aol instant messenger, my kids do. THese last couple of days, it is has been CONSTANTLY flying open on me. It flies open, then a popup says, “The AIM hyperlinks you’ve clicked on may require you to be online to work. Please log in first.” This happens continually. No one will be on the computer, it will be connected and there will be AIM and about 12 of the “hyperlink” popups!! HOW DO I STOP IT???
Thanks for any help you can give me!
Cindy
its a “aim:blah” hyperlink. check what the link goes to before you click it.
that may be the problem, but he said it happens when no one is using the computer, ie. he is not clicking on them. I do not know what would cause that.
I will be typing an email and it flies open! I even go down into the toolbar (the thing at the very bottom of screen), I right click the yellow guy and hit exit. I’ll be typing an email, and wam! there it is! What is going on????
Well, there could possibly be Spyware or Adware on your computer, try scanning and removing that.
I have run my virus scane (norton), I ran spybot and it still keeps happening!
