I know this has been addressed 100+ times, but there are way too many ‘experts’ out there! Regardless of the time frame someone puts on their Idle alert do they go idle from not using their computer (mouse, any programs, etc…) or from not sending/receiving or using AIM at all. Thanks
Using the basic AIM program the idle time is based on when they arnt using their computer. Using other programs you can change how this works. For example, using GAIM there is an option to select exactly what you stated. You can have the option to either base idle time on computer use, or based on actauly IM usage.
