This is the problem. None of the people on my buddy list show up as online, except for AOLSYSTEMMSG and a mobile user. There cannot possibly be nobody online…it just doesn’t work that way. I’ve tried using IM2, gAIM and even re-installed AIM but they all do the exact same thing. It isn’t something about detecting whose online because obviously the AOL bot and the mobile users are detected but not the normal users? I’m only having this problem with AIM. I am connected to AIM it’s just nobody shows up as “online”. There’s always someone online (out of 137 people)…so does anybody know what’s going on?!?

Ok so I redownloaded Trillian (Basic) and now something even weirder is happening…it shows them as “online” but when I try to IM them it says Warning: This user is offline your messages will most likely NOT be received.
This guy IMed me when I got on and I coud talk to him…it turns out tho that I can’t start the IM? This is most certainly not normal. Thier online…but I can’t IM them. This isn’t good…nuh-uh…any suggestions at all???
Update: It only worked on trillian because I had another screenname on at the time…the only thing I can do now is make that my default. I just don’t understand what happened…screennames don’t just break like that. Nobody seems to know what happened either. When I added myself to my buddylist I didn’t show up as online…what is this?
No. I’ve tried using AIM. Doesn’t work. The other programs connect to AIM but none of them load my buddylist for the s/n quiksilver131272.
