As you could imagine, I’m looking for a good way to log my AIM conversations. I checked the suggestion thread, but all it has is google desktop, and I don’t want to use that. Nalsoft AIM logging seems good, but it says on the site you have to pay for it after two weeks, even though there isn’t any notification in the actual program. Is there anything like that available, but free? Thanks.
the new AIM Triton has logging enabled, finally, if you’re willing to upgrade to that. otherwise programs like DeadAIM work well (although you’ll have to get the old version, and use an older version of AIM), or AIMutation, etc…
Yeah, I used to use DeadAIM and Aimutation when they were still compatible. I should have mentioned that. But I’m in a bad spot, I like the lastest version of 5.9, but I don’t really like the way Triton is, so it seems like nothing will work for my version 😛
What version do you use?
I’m using version 5.9.3861, which I believe is the latest version of normal AIM.
How do you retreived logged IMs. I have had the option enabled but I do not see where I can veiw the closed IM box……
from AIM triton, your AIM logs are stored in your “My Documents” folder (at least on XP) under the “My AIM Logs” folder, then in the folder for your screenname.
Anyone know of any programs? I’d probably be willing to downgrade to 5.5 or even 5.2, but one of the reason why I want to stick with 5.9 is talking while away.
