hello, i have recently ran into a problem were i need to recover an email that i have deleted. i deleted it into my trash bin, and dumped the trash. is there any programs that anyone knows of, or anything that i can do to retrieve this message?
Nope, once you have dumped the trash the e-mail is gone for good (since it was trashed server-side).
Hi ludie,
You might try this freeware program to recover it, it has helped me once or twice to recover things…. Recuva – Undelete, Unerase, File Recovery – Home
Try it, hope it helps you,
Steve
That’d only work if the e-mail was downloaded to the computer through a client like Outlook Express, and it isn’t.
AIM Mail is a web-based e-mail service like Yahoo! Mail, Hotmail or GMail and it stores all messages server-side. Once you delete a e-mail from a web-based e-mail and you empty the trash, it’s gone forever.
In short, you can’t recover it. Period.
Hey Ven0m,
Correct of course U R, I was thinking the mail was on the client side not the server side & I use GMAIL so I should have known better. When I used the program it was for a document & another time for a picture & it worked pretty well. Thanks for making the obvious correction which I totally missed!
Steve
You’re welcome! 🙂 I know how frustrating it is to lose an important e-mail from a web-based e-mail provider.
