AIM process is on but doesnt startup on my desktop and the AIM icon will disapear when I hover my mouse over it on the lower toolbar – can you help me? Thanks.

MemberYes, did not work. As I recall last time I fixed it I just cleared or unchecked a box in networking or other – I don’t recall the exact OS type config change but after I did it AIM came right. I should have saved that fix for later but didnt – don’t recall if it was a VPN issue or ? – Thanks for the reply.

MemberI bet it has a hack on it. Delete aim, then restart your computer. After that download it, restart computer and then see if it works

MemberI uninstalled AIM then downloaded the install .exe then rebooted then installed and still same out come. I selected the dialup option during install. As before the process starts but no connection – the process does spike my CPU on task mannager and drops after I delete process. Any thoughts? I’ll keep looking for the site that had the config but not sure if I’ll find it – I think is was a change in inernet options or other just don’t recall. Thanks and please reply with any further options.

MemberI was just wondering if you ever figured out your problem – I am having the same one and have no clue what to do. I’ve tried uninstalling it and downloading a newer version. However, no one’s screen names are working on any of the computer’s in our house, but we can log on at work or other locations.
