Hey im college is blocking a huge range of ports and when i complained they said if i knew what ports aim uses they would unblock them. Im just wondering what ports are being used in the lastest version of aim?? Thanx
If you go…Preferences –> Sign On/Off –> Connection…it will show you the port that you are connecting too 🙂
ok thanx i guess our it department went home for the weekend and now im stuck with no aim all weekend anyone know how do get passed this? I saw some where with msn you can get into the regisrty to by pass the firewall on port 80 any one know how i can do that with aim?? thanx

For the time being, you can try to use AIMExpress.

No, only AOL can do this, since it’s their servers.

Not too sure what ports AIM can connect on…
However, you could try toc.oscar.aol.com on port 80, but I’m not too sure if that’ll work.

I tried those ports, and it works for mine.
