Ever since last night my AIM has been acting weird. It randomly freezes and unfreezes when I look at someone’s info (can’t use the scroll bar) and it takes longer to sign on. Now websites are taking longer to load for me also. I don’t understand what’s going on. I haven’t downloaded anything so I don’t think it’s a virus. Please help!
This may sound like a dumb question but… have you restarted? Sometimes that “magically” fixes stuff.

Yes, I have restarted. I’ve also done a system restore, but nothing seems to be working.
Have you defragmented your c drive? If you do it regualrily it keeps your computer running at top speed.
How to defragment: Go to my computer, then right click on local disk: c then click on properties. Then click on the tools tab and select defragment now. (if you have never done it don’t be alarmed if it takes a long while, and don’t run anything while you do it–especially a screen saver)
Also clearing your internet history and temporary internet files keeps the internet fast and regular, unless you have dial up…then it is always slow.
