MemberThis is easy to do. What you do is put the message inside this code:
You need to have the spaces around between the message and the —
Such as:
This makes AIM think that your message is part of the TimeStamp, which is activated by the HotKey F2. As long as TimeStamp is on you can see the message.
*Note: This doesn’t seem to work in all versions of AIM

KeymasterNote, this doesn’t work on AIM 4.7 or newer.
Basically it requires HTML support, which they took out (presumably because of security issues).Jeff Hester

Memberif u have 4.7 or higher and want HTML go to http://www.aimicons.net then IM tricks and find re-enabling HTML in newer versions. This does work (i have done it) but u need Hex Editor.

MemberIt is possible to use this in 4.7 without enabling HTML. You have to first write out the codes with the text in another program (notepad, word). Then copy and paste it into AIM. It works the same as the timestamp trick normally does.
**If your timestamp is off, when you paste it, you won’t be able to see it at all, looks like your paste didn’t work, but it should be there (press F2 to see it).

MemberYou don’t need to cut and paste your profile. Your AIM profile is stored locally. After editing the file, sign off, then back on. Your new profile will be displayed.
On Windows 95/98/Me, it’s under Windows/AIM95/Screenname
On NT/2000/XP it’s under your Application Data (Documents and SettingsCOMPUTER User name (not AIM sn)Application DataAIMScreenname)

MemberI tried that F2 trick in my profile…but it doesn’t work. I typed it in AND copied and pasted it, but when I do that it either shows up w. the
things or just w. the message when I copy and paste it. And I have the newest version of AIM so I don’t see how it’s not working!May 18, 2003 at 6:48 pm #68907WhiteWolf
MemberI’ve got the newest verison…it works fine with me.
