I recently got AIM+ because back then I didn’t have AIM 5.5. I still have AIM+ because the linking only lets you link like 7 sn’s. But when I go on AIM+ I get several problems. After about 30 or so minutes on a runtime error occurs. I haven’t found anything on that yet so if anybody could help me on that thank you. Also I know the AIM+ history viewer does not work with 5.5 so I went back and got 4.8. The history viewer still didnt work so I went back to 5.5. Does anybody know whats wrong?
Just go to http://www.oldversion.com and download DeadAIM, I had the same problem and I couldn’t fix it. Dead aim is better in my opinion, you’ll be able to clone your aol and log history and all that fun stuff that AIM+ does and you wont get the runtime error.
No do not download DeadAIM .. Simply delete AIM+ and reinstall it.. when you get to that AIM+ Prefrences box with alot of checkboxes.. Uncheck the box that says “IM/Chat History” and it will not make the runtime error anymore.
I wouldnt use AIM+ at all. Its outdated and unless you plan on using 4.8 for the rest of your life, you should ditch it. You could try DeadAIM or if you dont feel like paying the few bucks, get AIMutation for free.
Well thanks, I only really needed the AIM+ history viewer so I can see my brothers conversations when he’s online! Lol just kidding. I also need it when I hit the X button and some1 just said something, erll ya never know do ya. I tried doing it with 4.8 but that doesnt work either for some strange reason. I’ll just skip it in because 5.5 is soo much better….I felt alone without it
