Reason for editing:
Because someone said it was a virus, I assure you its not a virus. Norton Anti Virus problem said it was a virus because, they consider it “hacking tools”. Norton thinks your grandmothers picture is a virus.
My opinion is that you shouldn’t be allowed to advertise questionable (at best) software on this site. Upon running the .exe on my PC, .exe commited suicide, an unknown process tried to connect to the internet (turns out it might have been this virus: WORM_SPYBOT.B), and made my task manager inaccessible. However, I was able to close down the running process and delete it from my hard drive, without too much harm being done (I believe).
Please do not download this program until someone can find out for sure what it really is. I can assure you, it is not a screenname hacker.
it doesn’t really matter *how* aim allowed it to happen… it’s AIM. they don’t really care about their users, and we all know this.
as for the link, i’ve removed it from your post, as it constitutes a pretty blatant violation of people’s rights and privacy. if you have any questions about this, feel free to send me a PM.
yeah i totally agree with you TIGER about AIM not really giving a crap about people using AIM, and i hate how they try to act like their doing all this crap for us and how AIM is soo freaking amazing, and also what the hell was GOOGLE thinking merging with them or joing up with them? yeah im just as guilty as everyone else cause i still use AIM but the only reason i use it is because everyone i know uses it and they wont change to anything else..
who can help me to get my accounts back?
i have had 3 aim accounts’ passwords got changed without me doing anything. since i signed up those accounts many years ago. i certainly don’t use those old emails any more. i lost all 3!

preppyjock – unfortunately, if you’ve lost the passwords and no longer have the emails, you’re probably out of luck. AIM’s “support” is practically non-existant, so you won’t receive any meaningful help from them.
If you don’t still have access to the passwords or emails for those accounts, sorry but you’ll have to get a new one. Those old ones are gone.

It is a trojan/virus. I tested it myself. I’d like to know what non-malicious programs disable taskmanager.exe and drop a .exe in your System32 folder that is named very similar to a windows system file. The program didn’t even do what it said, nor did it even have a GUI. Advertising a malicious piece of software and then re-editing what a mod edited is a sure-fire way to get yourself banned. And if this that doesn’t convince you that this is a trojan, God knows what will.
