Memberi’ve been using aim for a while, but ever since I downloaded the newest version of it, it sometimes can’t sign in. I would type my screename and password, and when it says it’s connecting, a window pops up and says the aim service can’t be reached. I don’t know what to do so does anyone have advice?

MemberIn the connection options, try using reset to set it to the default port and if that doesnt work, try using auto-configure. Connection options can be accessed by clicking on the settings button, going to sign on/off, and clicking the connections button. See if that works and then go from there.

MemberI’m having the same problem. I just upgraded to the new version of both Aim and MSN messenger, but I cannot log on either of them. I tried resetting/restarting, auto-configure, etc. But it just closes when auto-configure is done and nothing happens, and I still can’t connect.

MemberWTF MATE?! I am having the same sign on problems ever since I upgraded to 5.5 on AIM….i have tried auto-configure and tried reset also. I have attempted to set up a private port too and have uninstalled and redownloaded AIM like 4 times. Is there something I can do to solve this problem or do I just wait it out?

MemberI cannot sign into AIM….when I type in my password (well it’s saved) but I know it’s correct, I click the sign in button..it goes to 1. connecting… and doesn’t goto the next 2 steps then sign on…it just sits on step 1 and doesn’t go anywhere…I don’t get any pop ups or whatever, it just doesn’t sign on?? Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?
