This may have already been done, no I idea, but we all have our wish list of what AIM should have next.
I would like to see webcam added (but who knows AIM could make it worse, MSN is better for that).
Also, I would like to see this happen, you know how you can accept a message from someone not on your buddy list? Well I would like it if you could do that for everyone, then again it could be a pain in the neck. You can then make sure people don’t warn you and other stuff whenever you are away.
NEVERMIND, scatch that, there is a way just to have the away message in the profile only, so that covers that one.
But, I think AIM will be good as long as they fix the away bug and the window color bug for 5.2.3292, and everything will be back to normal, we hope.
If you have any other idea’s, write them!

Go to My Aim > Edit Options > Edit Preferences
then in the preferences window, along the left hand side, select Away Message. In the options that are then listed, the first two radio buttons should be
“When away:
( ) Auto respond and insert in personal profile
( ) Insert in personal profile onlyif you dont want your away message to come up when someone IM’s you, select the second one. then just say Ok to save your changes.
August 16, 2003 at 4:02 am #91882KPK102MemberThanks Tiger for telling him that. I would love to see cloning and tabbing as well, and IM people when they are offline, like yahoo messenger.
August 16, 2003 at 4:04 am #91884Someguy03MemberI would like to see AOL get rid of all of Aim’s bugs. Can they make anything right without messing it up? And I would like aol to make it so you could leave people messages, like with yahoo messenger.

That’s a great solution to the auto response while messening while away with DeadAIM, as well. Nice Job!
I’d like to see The ability to Approve/Disprove when someone adds you to their contact list.
I’d like warnings removed, they are truly pointless. If you don’t like someone – block them.
Web cam, but I bet AOL would screw that up…
A bigger viewing area for your buddy list, I know they need ads, but they really add a lot of crap to your list screen…
Tabbed Windows, logging, and The ability to type/talk to your Buddy’s while away would be cool too.
Custom emoticons…
WAIT. Screw AIM, lets work on making MSN6 connect to the AOL servers!
August 24, 2003 at 5:59 am #91892ChanellothParticipanti want to be able to rename buddies like…
Flight358 could be BillAugust 24, 2003 at 6:27 am #91885BrdMc3Memberi would like to get over the max buddies like more than 200!
August 24, 2003 at 10:50 am #91881CharlesMemberWebcams are out in AOL, so they will most likely release the next AIM with them too. Which means give AOL about a year. I would like to see offline messaging, like Yahoo! has. Logging with out DeadAIM would be nice too. The little content panels at the top right can go, you should be able to remove a netscape address from the mail window, and you should be able to customize the task buttons at the bottom. I never use the write mail and only hit it when I am tired and get pissed. As for previously mention suggestions, the warnings should be removed, and I have been waiting for the profiles to be stored on their server(s).

Well… FYI you can get rid of thwem if your not stupid…
first open up AIM95 under program files, then unhide all files.
Look for the file called Advert.ocm, then delete it.
Next rename the file Admin.ocm to Advert.ocm .
Voila! No More ADDS! 🙂*(note: AIM must be completly shut down or it wont let you)*
