A few months ago my AIM stopped working. What happened was when i clicked to start AIM, it would show up for a fraction of a second (the login screen) then immediately close before i could even do anything. I switched to trillian, but am now bored with it and want to go back to AIM. AIM has always worked for me and I really don’t know what to do. I’ve obviously tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but that didn’t work. I’ve tried uninstalling, deleting AIM and AOL registry keys, then reinstalling, and still it didn’t work. This happens with AIM 6.1 and the new beta that i just downloaded yesterday.
The only thing that I think might have happened was when removing programs that startup when i turn on the computer i unchecked an AIM related program that caused AIM to be unable to restart. But wouldn’t reinstalling AIM put that program back up there? I don’t know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to anyone who can help :]

I have the EXACT same problem and i have no idea how to fix it and neither does anyone else I’ve talked to. I have AIM 6.8 but i don’t know what to do. It happened after i got rid of a virus and now its been like that for about two days. Frustrating isn’t it? You haven’t happened to have found an answer have you? I’ll search the web and post anything i find.
