one of the features I dislike about trillian 3 is that it refuses to display the more modern AIM multimedia user icons.. they are not just your basic ordinary fixed sized gif images but rather a lot more lively in size, color and animation.. I haven’t figured out how to make trillian work with these icons.. I just know that certain contacts of mine have them.. and they appear when I use the AIM messenging client.. but they will not appear when I use trillian.. I’m not sure if they are included with the newer AIM client or if they are added on icons.. but isn’t trillian limited by image size when it comes to user icons?

The reaon basic smilies work is simply because when you type “:)” it translates that to an image… but your friend still gets this: “:)”. Fortunately, his client also translates that text into an emoticon. These animated smilies are way too advanced for the current version of Trillian, sorry.
