July 28, 2004 at 2:19 pm #41052OreoMemberWow, I’m not sure what to think about that one. It’s like she saw the other one and thought she’d use E-Bay to teach her kid a lesson. Aren’t there better ways? Besides, if this keeps happening I’ll bet E-Bay will change its format.
July 28, 2004 at 2:20 pm #41059austintheman15Participantyeh!
July 28, 2004 at 2:20 pm #41050Jeff HesterKeymasterOr it’s a ruse meant to draw attention to an otherwise ho-hum auction. (or so the cynic inside me says).

Quote:quote:8-year old boy decided to gamble “all of his stuff” in a bet and lost. Now I must sell everything you see here on eBAY.That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard today. Some people are too damn funny.

For now, all of Mikey’s stuff will be auctioned off for the benefit of a little boy or girl who can appreciate it.Apparently Mikey learned his lesson as the auction has been cancelled. Remember, some parents really don’t make empty threats! I bet Mikey will think twice before doubting his Moms punishments again.

July 29, 2004 at 4:16 am #41054TigerbladeParticipanti dont think the parents ever really intended to go through with selling all mikey’s stuff in the first place. I think its more of a (perhaps over the top) scare tactic. although can you imagine the therapy this kid is gonna need later on?? you’re 8 years old and your parents post “all your stuff” on eBay???
July 29, 2004 at 4:34 am #41055RabidKittenParticipantSee, and this is why I never gambled with my parents, because this is something like they would do. My brother once bet my dad his bike on something and lost and my dad went and gave it to some random kid at a park. Whoo. Crazy I tell ya.
