It’s a very powerful movie. I would never be able to watch it a second time.February 17, 2005 at 11:50 am #112518CoolMinded
MemberSherk 2, E.T., Lord of the Rings, and the Spider-man movies.
The Passion was an ok movie, but it was missing a lot of stuff. The movie was based on a vision by a nun, and not the whole story from the bible.

MemberI still have not seen Titantic the whole way through. Actually, I saw part of it on network television this past Autumn. I actually refused to watch watch it…when it came out I was at university and was got really SICK of hearing “OMG….SHE LOOKS LIKE ROSE!” and then some one else would say “NO SHE DOES NOT….NOT AT ALL” I would literally go to parties and people would start to fight about whether I did or did not look like her. One time I walked into the student union and it was some what quiet, and some one shouted “OMG!! ROSE just walked into the union!” I turned around and walked out…if you can’t tell..I don’t like lots of attention. I actually remember I wanted to see the movie before all of this…I finally saw part of it, because I did not know it was the movie….it was the present day when there were some people on a boat…so I started watching it and it was too late by the time I figured out what I was watching. But I stopped at one point because I wanted to watch something else. hee hee hee

ParticipantI have seen all these movies, but none are in my top 10 list. I am surprised to see that both Spiderman’s made this list, quite impressive I must say. Titanic will be hard to beat, that is a high number.

MemberThe fact that Shrek 2 grossed more than Star Wars: Episode 1 sickens me. You would rather see a green ogre and a talking donkey than pod racing and Natalie Portman??!

ParticipantBecause Episode one was an attrocity and everyone loves talking farm animals.
I can only watch Titanic once every 3 years without wanting to gag myself with a metal spike. I saw it in the theaters with my father and when Leo died I started laughing hysterically. Not because I thought it was funny, you see, but because there was a build up of random emotion and the choice was to cry or to laugh. I chose to do the latter. *shrug* My dad called me a sick, warped bitch after that and still brings it up when he’s going on about how much of a screw up I am. *snicker* Kind of funny.
I’m sorry but I want to kill George Lucas. His films are mediocure, the stories are alright, but the films themselves were lacking, I thought. That and oh my gosh, the fanboys. The fanboys. *sobbing* the fanboys. WHY god Why!
Shrek 2 was…yeah what it was. it was funny, I thought. I’m not a fan of Cameron Diaz and I don’t know why people think her or Uma Thermon are attractive in the least. But hey, who doesn’t enjoy cheep jokes at the expense of hollywood and cheesy satires of well loved childrens tales?
Back to George Lucas’ failure and insanity. What the hell happened to ET? Did you guys see that crap? The new version? Oh. My. *shoots self* Ugh. I mean, sure, I can understand that perhaps it was a little hostile to have government agents shooting guns at little kids, but really, is it any better to have them shooting bullets out of WALKY TALKIES? *sigh* Sure, they got rid of the guns, but the hands are still formed to them, so they’re running around pointing walky talkies at kids and their hands look like they have severe carpal tunnel syndrom all crooked and twisted up, still firing bullets. *sigh* my goodness.
The Kid in Ep I should’ve been hung from a pole. Heck, even Ep 2 wasn’t that great. The only thing that saved that movie was yoda’s killer fight with Duku.
Spider man was alright. You could never get a better spider man that toby, I really hope he stays on, there were rumors that since he got hurt in the filming of number two that he may not. But gosh, they could’ve gotten someone better for Mary Ann
Alright, by the third Lord of the Rings, they really cut it up horribly. I mean, you’d just be getting to a good part in one story and then all of the sudden it’d cut to something you didn’t give two hoots about. in the way that it was made, Frodo seemed like a side story, an ill placed side story at that. But the effects were neat…just think that it could’ve been so much more than it really was.
Spiderman 2 summed up in a sentance: Doc Oc was awesome.
Passion was the most retarded movie I’ve ever been witness to, other than Freddy Got Fingered. It was carried out poorly, the musical score was lacking, the realism was lacking and not to mention that it catered to almost every single pathetic steriotype cliche of “evil”. *sigh* And people got SO worked up about it. You know, if it was just made about some theif they caught, everyone would’ve seen how much the movie stunk, but because it was Jesus and because it blamed the jews and because it was based off from a biased childrens storybook everyone acted as if it was the greatest piece of film ever set into motion. *shakes her head sadly* I’d go into detail about why it stunk, but I think that’s for another thread at another time.
*giggles* Jurassic Park. My granddad took me to that. He made us walk out because of the toilet scene where the guy was eaten on it. It was funny. Yeah, we bought it eventually just to see how everyone turned out. The raptors were killer, and for its time it was cutting edge *thumbs up* Now if they had only stopped there, it would’ve been fine.
