Hey there,
I m using Msn 7 at the mo and many of my friends who use the same version keep sending me animated emoticons which they have copied from other ppl by simply adding it from a conversation window. When i attempt to do , the animation does not copy.
And i went through an article on this forum and checked if on my options if my show custom emoticons were checked.it was and still i dont seem to add these animated emoticons…
please help….

ShanelleDoes the “add” option appear? You only have to move the mouse pointer at the left side of the emoticon, right click and u see the option to add. It should be included just fine in your list as soon as u click on add.

yeah i ve tried doing that… but instead of add i only get copy function. and when i do copy all that appears on the screen is the name given to the emoticon by the person who sent it. basically i dont get the add option when i right click it. only a copy option..
am i missing a plug in or something…

That’s something that I’m expiriencing also at the moment and it’s very strange, a few days ago I the add option was there and now I get the same with you. Sometimes I get it, sometimes I lose it. What version of msn are you using?
Also, have you installed any add-on to your messenger? Or maybe used the Mess Patch? If so, try removing any plugin you have and see if “add” appears then for emoticons.
Sometimes you’re country setting in your profile can affect this too, some people from Portugal didn’t have the option. I think it’s just a bug in the country specific settings. What country have you set in your passport/hotmail options?
