Does anyone know how to get rid of those annoying, junky buddy icons that pop up in your preferences menu when you try to change your buddy icon. I really hate those pesty things:(

and by the way, i tried that disabling the buddy icon thing and it disabled the Buddy Icons preferences, and i cant even change my buddy icon, isnt there some way i can get it back on there?Res hack should make a backup of the dll. You are only supposed to delete the part that shows thows icons, not the entire resource.
its aimres.dll i deleted the buddy icon preferences by accident because i used that stupid resource hacker.

i got back to aim 5.1 again and i am not going to newer versions anymore, i just give up on aim 5.5 thanks for everyones help.

And yes, this program can cause many problems with your aim if you dont know how to use it properly so make sure you keep a copy of aimres.
