I was wondering if anyone knows how to eliminate this….
As soon as a turn on my cam, I get someone called Anonymous trying to request permission to view. If I view profile, I get: http://profiles.yahoo.com/__anonym__(ip address here). I can click Ignore User & the name goes to my Iggy list, but as soon as I log off Yahoo, the name goes away. The IP address is always different, but this is a constant irritant. I do have my preferences set to Ignore View Requests as I have the peeps I want to see my cam in Auto Access, but somehow this person still shows up.
I have allowed access once just to see the name that shows up as viewing & all it says in Anonymous… no help there.
Any suggestions?
Hmm, I was going to suggest ignoring the person, then I re-read your post. If you have already tried that as you say, then you could always try reporting the person to Yahoo? I’m not saying they will do anything, but it could be worth a try.
try setting you status message to some thing other then view my web cam or just turn it off in your perferences under the web cam tab…
ok here is the deal now..those who are nothing but azz hunters..there are programs out there to try and let you see a can using Anonymous..as in if someone tried to view your cam and you wouldnt let them the use the program to try and view so you dont know who it is..they will try over and over to see, in hope you will give up and let them see…there nothing but lammers who want to get off..the Anonymous name is not a yahoo account and thats why the iggy button dont work.. all it is- is azz hunters in need of getting laid I know it will make ya mad put what you can do is change your cam preferences only allow ppl you want to see your cam see and it will ignore other requests asking to view

:cool::cool: change your profile name…. or just reformat your harddrive.. it has already your IP Address.. no matter how you try to ignore this azz little fellow just wants to to see you…. or scan your computer for any adware or spyware.. this must be the cause of the anonynmous trying to view your cam… use spybot it is widely used….

So I wouldn’t do that.
Don’t worry about anyone having your IP address, if you are on dial up, it changes everytime you connect to the Internet. And even if you are on a faster connection, this person wont be the only one with your IP address, IP’s are easy to get hold of.
I would use Ad-Aware and Spybot together, obviously not running them at the same time though. Scan with Ad-Aware first, then run a scan with Spybot. You can get them here:
