He posted this, along with a thread with a duplicate name which I moved to AIM support because he mentioned AIM problems. I’m not sure what to do with it, it seems rather annoying. I think we can fix his problem if we give him a chance.
Ideas about these two threads?

So i say delete that one and keep the one with the poll, since it’s basically what he wants to know, which instant messenger OTHER than aim do people recommend. Also i’d leave it in the General Computer Help, since he’s asking for over-all instant messaging recommendations with file transfers and stuff and not help on how to fix his aim. But it’s up to you, just my two cents. 😛

April 3, 2006 at 2:13 pm #141625SpikeMemberUnfortunately I moved the first topic to the AIM section. I don’t think he meant to make the thread twice, I think he saw that I moved his first one (I posted a reply letting him know why), and panicked or whatever, and made another one, this one being a little better and wih a poll.
It seemed awkward having it in CS, though. Why don’t we have a general IM section that people can use this type of thing for? I suppose there isn’t much of a demand for it, but then again where is it supposed to go? It seems awkward in CS, I just think it’s supposed to be somewhere else (I’m not trying to be lazy or anything :p)
