I really need some assistance here. My situation is that I believe my spouse is cheating on me, and would like to have some way to discreetly monitor her MSN Messenger chats remotely. I’ve looked for software programs online that could do this, but all I’ve found are sniffers (we are not on the same network so that will not work). I have her username and password, and ideally I’d just like to be able to login and monitor her chats remotely. Is this even possible? ANYTHING you can suggest would be great…thanks in advance.
Regardless of the reason, and whether you have the password or not, unless a user gives you express permission to access their account, this is a serious violation of privacy. Such discussions have no place in a public forum.
I have to agree with Doris here. I’m sure you would too, if the tables were to be turned vice versa.
If you are suspicious, why don’t you talk to her? Spying on her or reading her chats is a serious violation of privacy and trust on YOUR part. Rise above that, and communicate.
That said, many employers install software that records all IM history (usually for regulatory reasons, i.e. Sarbanes Oxley). So there is software that accomplishes this. Just think hard about whether you really want to go that route and risk losing her trust in YOU, rather than communicating and dealing with the issue head-on.
