MemberIs there any advantage in installing the BETA version on my machine over my current existing MSN 6 Final?
Can anyone please tell me any reason I should upgrade to this BETA release?!?…
Cheers.

Memberthe beta has a few small new features, but none that I’d say are big enough to make it a must-have.

Membersuch as changing the color of the chat windows (doesn’t work properly IMO), hiding the title bar like you can do with Windows Media Player 9, and there’s a small change to the look of the Webcam settings window. I haven’t found any other new features or major changes.

If you have problems with installing 6.0 (ie: 1603) install 114, and it fixes all install problems. I would not recomend using the lastest BETA, as it crashes heavly, MS forgot to add the defult sounds apparently, just to name a few.
So if you looking for stable-ness, some new window colors, and to remove the title bar… its highly reccomended (by me atleast).October 6, 2003 at 9:08 pm #55108Vampiro 6

I’ve used the instant lock and the sounds in Messenger Plus 2.21.55 and MSN Messenger 6.1.0114 and they work fine together. An earlier version of Messenger Plus indeed had some problems with MSN Messenger 6.1, but this one seems to be working the way it should.
