MemberHey all,
Just wondering if there are any programs out that I can leave running which will send a message to someone when they get back online. Example:
I run a program that interfaces with my aim. I put an away message on and go to bed but when my friend gets on at 2 am while Im sleeping, the program will kick in and send the message to him saying that you were offline but here is the message anyway. Thanks,

MemberI’m not sure about exactly that, but there is a bot that does that. Add DoorManBot2 to your buddy list.

ParticipantYou’ll find this listed as a buddy “Pouncing” feature in GAIM, but if you want to stick with the default AIM client, you’re stuck with using bots, which will, in fact, do exactly what you’re looking for.
Btw…..the alternative to DoorManBot2 is AIMOffline.March 4, 2004 at 3:45 am #48890krazyjosh5

ParticipantYes, and BTW, tomorrow or Friday I will be releasing a completely recoded version of SendMsg (Renamed to MyMsgBot), so post in that thread if you’d like to see anything added. 🙂
