I was wondering if anyone had the Windows 98 USB Driver for iPods so that I can use my iPod as a disk drive. I’ve looked on Google, but only one site has it, and you have to donate to be able to download it. (http://win98.drivers.w.interia.pl/ipod.html)
Could someone that has it send it to me?…Thanks.
November 7, 2005 at 12:51 am #132940DrBroccoliParticipantI thought that iPods [all features, all models] were only for Windows 2000 and up. I did some googling and haven’t found much. You could try ephpod or MusicMatch (98se only) and transfer files like that, I doubt it will be like a DiskDrive. You’re not going to get very far without the driver. Something else you could try is upgraded OSes, 98 is a little outdated, and doesn’t work with everything now-a-days. If you can’t upgrade, then I don’t know what to tell you, unless you want to donate a dollar to that website to get the driver. Sorry.

November 7, 2005 at 5:02 am #132934lazyturboMemberThanks guys. I actually did some more Google searching and actually found a free version of the driver. My iPod works fine with it, just can’t use iTunes, but not such a big problem with so many alternatives.
There’s still hope for Windows 98…LOL. (It’s just my older computer, and I don’t feel like paying to upgrade it to XP).

November 27, 2005 at 11:32 pm #132938SpikeMemberActually…I decided against myself. I’m going to move it here because people can clearly see that he has it and he’s emailing it, and I don’t want it to turn into a “send it to me, heres my email” thread. If anyone has any questions about it, they can make a new thread, it’s that simple.
November 28, 2005 at 11:11 am #132933OreoMemberGood idea to move it here…and I would think starting a new thread is just as bad. Lazy should know better as he’s been here long enough. Have you sent him a PM explaining why you moved it and how he’s breaking our terms? I would hate to have him pull that stunt again and claim “I didn’t know I couldn’t do that!” Obviously, he knew he was pushing it when he said he could not post the link on the site. BLAH! Some people!
