I saw that BigBlueBall was “Site van de Week” at a Dutch site called Planet Download. Can anyone translate the text to English? 😎
November 12, 2003 at 10:45 pm #53408OreoMemberIt means “Site of the Week” There are also translators for Dutch and I believe we have some members from the Netherlands who will be able to help you if you really want to know more than that.
November 12, 2003 at 11:02 pm #53405FanaticMemberThanks, but I knew that much. I was really more curious about the translation of the review, which you’ll see if you click the link I provided.

Always more men begin in to see that Instant messaging, either IM, a particularly fast and efficient means of communication is. Unfortunately (to our opinion) do always more men that with MSN Messenger. Possibly is the about that skilful to know that it in abundance alternatives are, not in the last place the pioneer under the messengers ICQ natural.Only also programs that cross-platforms work, as Trillian its good alternatives with which you approximately all protocols can use. For a complete survey and naturally the downloads of (nearly?) all IM’ s can you in the right place by BigBlueBall. com.

Yah, it doesn’t make much more sense than the dutch version, but its a start. Here is my rough translation of the translation:

Many people have already found that Instant Messaging, also known as IM, is a particularly fast and efficient means of communication. Unfortunately (in our opinion) the majority of users run MSN Messenger. Possibly, it is the fact that many users are not skillful enough to know that an abundance of alternatives are out there, not in last place is the pioneer of messengers, ICQ.Also many programs provide cross-platforms connections, as Trillian is a good alternative with which you can use approximately all protocols. For a complete list of downloads of (nearly?) all IM clients you can find at BigBlueBall. com.
Naturally not only are there many downloads (linked outside of the site) that you can find at BigBlueBall.com : also skillful tips and tricks for the different chat-program’s and IM News can be found on the site as well. Also reviews over chat-software are available on the site, and for questionss and your opinion you can submit on the correct forum.
November 13, 2003 at 12:18 am #53406FanaticMemberLOL – That’s a really lame translation.

More and more people seem to realize that Instant Messaging, or IM, is an incredible fast and efficient way to communicate. Unfortunately (in our opinion) most people only use MSN Messenger. Maybe that’s why it’s useful to know that there are a lot of alternatives, among them the pioneer under the Messengers: ICQ of course. But programs that work cross-platform, like Trillian, are also good alternatives which support nearly all protocols. For a complete index and of course downloads of (nearly?) all IM’s, visit BigBlueBall.com.
Of course it isn’t only downloads (remote links) that you will find on BigBlueBall: also useful tips and trics for various chat programs and IM-news can be found there. You can also read reviews about chat-software on the site and for questions, comments and your unsalted opinion you can visit their forums.
Now, isn’t it sweet of my internet provider to write that? =)
