Yahoo! Internet Life, that is…
They had an article on IMing, and they had a graph with acronyms and their meanings (i.e.: brb = be right back)
Anyway, one of those acronyms was “Iykwimaityd” (If you know what i mean and i think you do). Has anyone said this, or heard someone say this? It seems they put the most outragous ones, and left out the most simple, such as “jw” or “wb” (just wonderin’; welcome back)
Jw if anoyone else noticed this

Seems they just try to put them on their to be funny, and not always helpful. The list here at BBB, does happen to have the common used ones. 🙂 wwwttscbthum (well, when will these things stop comming back to haunt us more).
I just made that one up, and it will most likely be never used again like many of the other weird ones out there.

Honestly, I don’t even use all the ones on the BigBlueBall Chat Lingo page. I think in real life, you reach a delicate state of balance, using the words that your online friends use (and vice versa). Occasionally an new acronym slips in, which is fun, but too many and it gets to be work to keep up!
I don’t even attempt to make our reference an exhaustive list of every acronym, slang or shortcut ever used. I’d rather have a shorter, more manageable list of stuff that most people really use. That said, if you know of something that you think I should add, post a message or drop me a note. If TPTB (The Powers That Be) approve, it’ll be added (with credit where credit is due).
