Hello: I dont have this problem and we are both using xp home, when I am talking to my brother on yahoo messenger, but his problem is, when he tries to bring up anything, a Document, website or any file, it shows an hour glass for a very long time, before the item will come up!
As soon as he END’s the coversation with me, everything speeds up again.
He has no virus or spyware, this only happens when he is talking on Yahoo messenger!
Any one have any idea’s on why this is happening?
PS: He reinstalled a few times, but to no avail.
Has he tried updating his Java and Flash to the latest versions? Also be sure the audio drivers are updated. Those are my only thoughts.

play online poker gamesIt’s probably worth opening the Task Manager and going to the Processes tab and order by CPU usage – see if Yahoo is using 100% CPU, or 50% if you have 2 cores etc. Could explain the rest of the system being slow.
