Before I get sniped at for not searching first, I did. And the results I got were for what doesn’t work or advice on what is compatible with older versions of AIM. Except for Otsego which seems to be the redheaded step child of this forum, and the site won’t resolve for me right now anyway. On top of searching this forum and reading through some of the add-on threads I googled my heart out to no avail.

I’ve been using 4.8 with AIM+ forever. Mainly for the logging, ad-removal, and cloning features. I haven’t even bothered to upgrade AIM because I’ve been content with AIM+ and hated the newer features of AIM anyway. I loathed it at first but after playing with it for a while I decided that I like 3595 and would like to use it, except I can’t seem to find a free add-on or program that works with it. Free being the key word, because even if I wanted to give jdennis my five bucks, I couldn’t as I have no account to paypal with at the moment.

Alright, so. My question is…is there anything that DOES with AIM 5.5 3595?

Middle_man and Otsego seem to be the free ones that are supposed to work with the newest AIM currently.

Otsego’s site has moved (probably why you couldn’t get to it) it is now at:

Why can’t you just ResHack the ad out? And use AIM+ for cloning.

Yep ;), I tried those as well but they work up until 34XX. But thank you.

And I’m no codegeek, which is why. I couldn’t ResHack my way out of a paper bag. 🙂

Jknee, If you’d like I could give you my hacked version of AIM. The aimres.dll I have is version 3591 but works with any of the 5.5 AIMs. Give me an IM and i’ll give you an SS and we’ll take it from there.
