i used to use a program called Trillian. However, i was forced to use the original aim program because I frequently got cut off whenever I use trillian while i have no problems with yahoo or msn by using it.
anyway, just rencently, I got another problem. whenver i send a link to someone on the real AIM program, I instantly get cut off. then i won’t be able to send any more messages with that account for at least 30 mins.
and just like I told everyone that aim is disconnecting trillian users. now evil aol aim people are getting so paranoid, they are disconnecting users who are sending links to others.
here is another prove which you probably already read. obviously it has nothing to do with firewall or virus. EVIL EVIL aol people are evil! i have nothing good to say about those EVILS!

August 20, 2006 at 8:29 pm #150990TigerbladeParticipantAOL is not getting paranoid about people sending links to each other. That is not the reason that some people are having troubles as discussed in the thread you linked to. It is not because AIM is evil, it is not because they are paranoid, it’s simply a technical problem with the program.
please don’t overreact.

they changed THREE of my aim passwords. and i didn’t even know why. i thought that someone hacked into my account. until i get this email from them!
AIM User,
We have detected that the AIM Screen Name “myusername” associated with this email address has been used in a way that violates the terms and conditions of the AOL Instant Messenger service. Because of these violations, AOL has scrambled the password for this Screen Name. You may retrieve the new password by providing your screen name on the following web page:
http://www.aim.com/help_faq/forgot_password/password.adp?aolp.The new password will be sent to the email address given when you registered for your AIM Screen Name.
You may then reset your password by choosing Change Password from the MyAIM menu in the AIM software.
It is possible that your computer has been compromised by a computer virus or worm. Before resetting your password, we strongly suggest that you scan your PC for viruses using an updated Virus Scanner.
Sincerely,
The AOL InstantMessenger Team*

Quit blaming AOL for your own mistakes.
