Why is it that you cannot view AOL profiles through AIM? Will this ever be fixed? There use to be site that allowed you to see AOL profiles…but it was shut down…why is it such a big deal?

I doubt AOL will ever change this, though some people might make another site or program to let you see AOL profiles. The reason is AOL wants more people to use AOL cuz they get money from it, while they don’t get anything from AIM since its free. So they’re making you want AOL so you can see the profiles.

AOL profiles may be accessible from some other messanger programs like trillian. or may be through AIM express.

AIM is free, and downloadable. AOL you have to pay for. They just want to squeeze a couple extra bucks to make you pay for AOL instead of reading AOL profiles through AIM. I also doubt they will ever change this.
