Archived Messages Not Automatically Deleting

I have archiving enabled, and my preference indicates to delete messages after 10 days. However, I still have data from 3 months ago.

No big deal, since I can clean out the old messages whenever I want to, but I am just curious as to why they wouldn’t automatically delete.

Also, is there any way to retrieve old messages that were exchanged before I turned on the archiving feature? (The answer is probably no, but just thought that I would check).

Sounds like a glitch in the system. Never heard hat one before. LOL But like you said it was probably no big deal, and no one really talks about it.

Regarding OLD messages that were BEFORE archiving, the answer is NO. Once their gone their gone.
