can i ask? is AIM and AOL the same? im not sure because i dont have any of the account yet. what is the different? because all i know is AIM and AOL got their own websites. and some of my friends saying that AIM loging can use on AOL or vice versa. is that true?
AOL is the parent company. You can have AOL and use their messaging service, which will work with AIM. AIM by itself is the standalone service that’s free to the public. It’s a nitpicky difference, really. AOL is a paid service that includes internet browsing and such, while AIM is just the messaging portion. (AIM = AOL Instant Messaging)
