Hi,
I just bought a Logitech web cam. I have been using the camera for video chat on MSN messenger, but when attempting to use the audio chat it never works.
I am on a cable connection, my computer is a P4 256MB memory and OS is Windows XP.
Any ideas on how I can have a video audio chat? Or is this a MSN problem and I should use other program?
Any help will be really appreciated.
Thanks!!
Unfortunately without you telling us what kind of error message (if any) you get when you try to start an audio chat, all I can do is guess.
If both you and the other party have Windows XP, you could try starting a “video conference” instead of starting the webcam and audio seperately, this will start them both at the same time, and for both you and the other person.
If your chat partner doesn’t use Windows XP, you can’t start the “video conference”, but you could try starting the audio first and then the webcam (or vice versa).
If you want it to be a two-way chat, you could also try the other party inviting you first and then you invite them.
It might take a while to figure out which order you find works best, and it might not even help at all, but I’ve found that this does often help if the other party is on a slow (dialup) connection.
