MemberOk- I’ve been trying to figure this out for the last hour and it’s killing me. With the new BETA of AIM (5.2.3074) You have some mobile features, specifically adding a mobile number to your buddy list and sending an IM to it. It shows up as +15555551212 in your list with the mobile icon next to it.
Here’s what i want to do. I want an away message that automatically pops up and allows users to click the link and send me a quicky to my mobile. I am familiar with the standard “aim:goim?screenname=MYSCREEN&message=Hi!” (quotes eliminated)that as a hyperlink will launch an IM window insert the screenname (MYSCREEN) and the message (Hi!).
The problem here is that with mobile numbers you must include + before 1 and the number. When I put a + in like this “aim:goim?screenname=+15555551212&message=Hi!” the plus sign will NOT show up in the window it launches!
Now i’ve tried all the characters above the numbers to no avail. Anyone give me a hand here? I’m sure this will be a feature that AIM will support once the beta is beta no more, but till then, I would like to have a quicky IM sent to my mobile when I have a certain away sign up.
Thanks in advance.

MemberI’m sorry that no one from this forum was able to answer this. I did however find the answer and wanted to share it with you.
Instead of:
Quote:
aim:goim?screenname=+15555551212&message=Hi!try:
Quote:
aim:goim?screenname=%2B15555551212&message=Hi!2B is the hex code for a plus sign. When you put a hex character code in a url, it is preceded by a %.
This works like a charm! Have fun with it!!!-digitalant
