when someone IM’s me, they do not receive my away message…i do have my away message on but for some reason they just do not get it…so they think im there just ignoring them…what do you think the reason is for this?? 🙂
Hmm… I’ve never heard of this. Might be a miscommunication between the server and the buddy? Anyone got any ideas?
that happened to me once. i dont remember if closing/opening aim worked, or if i had to reboot. but it only happened once
yeah i have tried shutting down and rebooting AIM and then actually shutting down and rebooting my computer as well…does anyone think i should re-download AIM and see what happens…or will i lose everything..like away messages, profiles, and what not???? thanks for your replies 🙂

Of course you can refresh the install of AIM and nothing much will be achieved…… You CAN uninstall AIM, delete entries in the registry, lose your special ‘away’ messages and your ‘what nots’… and while this WILL fix the problem…. do you really want to do it?
