I have like 50 away messages…
I dont know if that might be what the problem is. Anyways my problem is:
I added an away message, and when I goto use it, I get signed off of AIM right away. I have deleted that away message, put the same message but used a different title, and when I goto use it…I still get signed off.
I have the latest AIM 5.5 version, with DeadAIM installed.
Any idea why I might be getting signed off?
Sounds like an internal application array index out of bounds or buffer overflow, try deleting some of the messages and creating that one again, if it works than it’s just that there is a limit to the number of away messages you can have.
i dont think theres a limited number, cause i used to have about 200 away mesages, and never had the problem
this happens to me too, but every once in a while it will let me put up the message that gets me kicked off all the time. it’s so weird.
You might just be using up all of your computer memory and it stops the current program that is using up the memory. Try using the newest version of AIM 5.9 or the new Triton by AOL. Triton is currently in the beta stages but it still might help you.
