Away Messages

When ever i log off windows XP to go to a new account, i leave aim on and a away messege pops up “I am away from my computer right now” i was wondering if there was a way to not have that, is there a program or something in a Aim file that will prevent that? i dont want that messege up when ever i switch accounts, there a way to stop it? if so please respond

As far as I know, you can’t. Maybe it is possible though. Sorry I can’t be of more help.

Downgrade your AIM to 5.5 or below because in 5.9 it has the “Windows Sesion Logoff” away message.

I have 5.5.3595 and in the away messages section it lists a “Windows Session Logoff”. Just a thought but that away message is listed in the registry at “HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareAmerica OnlineAOL Instant Messenger (TM)CurrentVersionUsersYour Screen NameIAmGoneSpecialCases” under “OsLO” Would it be possible to delete that value to stop it?

Try looking for it in ResHack.

Looking for what?

Even if you delete the registry keys, the Windows Session Logoff Msg will come back.
