MemberNow that messenger is at 5.6, ytunnel doesn’t work with it anymore. Unless there is a new update out there that i don’t know about. One thing I hate about chatrooms is the size of the banners. Sometimes it gets rediculously large to the point where you can’t even see the chat anymore unless you have the window totally maximized.
I there any programs out there that rids of those irritating advertizing banners down below the chat rooms? Ytunnel use to do this for me, but as I said, it doesn’t work with yahoo messenger 5.6

AdBlockerPro, Ad Killer, and Zero Popup all kill Messenger ads.
I don’t really know much as far as 5.6 is concerned. I don’t care for it at all, so I don’t use it. I don’t appreciate the auto-ignore feature in 5.6. I feel that ignoring other members should be left up to me and not the application. I can’t stand the way that 5.6 steals focus when the auto-ignore feature kicks in either. If you are chatting in pm while the chatroom is in the background and someone in the chatroom triggers auto-ignore, you are thrust out of pm and into chat where you could easily send a portion of your private conversation into the chatroom.
220 is the latest version of Y!TunnelPro and I have heard that it works well at killing the ads for many people on 5.6, but I am only speaking from what I have heard. I still use 5.5 and I am gonna hang onto it til the bitter end.

One point to note, is people are saying it doesn’t work with Yahoo! Messenger 5.6. It does work, it’s just that if you updated Messenger, you must re run the exe, this applies for each upgrade you make.
You must also ensure that you unzip the archive if you use that method, and MUST NOT run from within the archive,
http://www.freddys-utilities.co.uk/archives.zip if you don’t know about zip files and stuff.
Source code to the program in C is available here, http://www.freddys-utilities.co.uk/noads.html
and manual registry information is detailed here, http://www.freddys-utilities.co.uk/morereg.php

ParticipantWoooooo……..
OK… I seen this topic with high hopes. But, all it shows now is over grown ‘page cannot be displayed’ screens. Anything that displays nothing?

ParticipantAh, sorry. I misunderstood your problem. Did you have noads.jpg in the same directory as noads.exe when you ran noads.exe?
Also note Freddy’s warning: “You must also ensure that you unzip the archive if you use that method, and MUST NOT run from within the archive.”
