I have MSN messenger 6.2.0137 msnplus 3.01.94…my question is why do I get ad banner when I already checked the hide banner in plus..it only happens in 6.2 version and not in 6.1 I used it on win 98 and xp and the problem remains as it is….the banner is not “clickable” but coming and going when I click my mouse anywhere on messenger window…last version of plus that came when 6.2 was released had the same problem but I thought it would be solved in version 3 as it was just a minor update to make plus run with MSN 6.2….

somehow I don’t think it is a bug since you are the first to report it and, aside from that…mine works fine and I have the same versions as you.
Have you not tried the good ol’ somewhat reliable….unistall MSN Messenger and/or Plus! ?? That is probably the first thing you should try and see if that helps anything.

I don’t think skinning is a problem as I used to have a skin installed and MSN plus worked just fine and did everything it was supposed to do.
No I dont have any skin installed or any other plugging for that matter only plus…and as I mentioned earlier the problem isnt there when I uninstall MSN messenger 6.2 and install 6.1 it only happens with 6.2 and I could ve thought my os has anything to do with it but I recently formatted win xp and used win 98 but the problem remains the same…well..i use Jnrz loader with it but even if I dont use it that ad is there ……
Is the advert being displayed in Messenger, AFTER you have signed in, or is it displaying BEFORE you sign in, then dissapears once you’re logged in?
