So, I thought having what music I am listening to show up in my buddy list would be neat, but it has been more of a headache than anything.
First, at the end of each song artist and title, a url shows up. Then if I don’t have anything playing, I am stuck with “Be cool instantly” and a url showing up in my status box. Thats annoying big time, especially if I want my status to show that I am busy or invisible.
And if I use SongStat I am always shown as busy and then if I am not playing music I get “www.matthewzone” showing in my status. Once again, annoying. There are better ways to advertise than that. I dont like having my status taken over to advertise for the program instead of just doing what its suppose to do, show what music I am listening to.
So, I think I am just better off typing in my status window myself of what song I am listening to.

1. START WINAMP.
2. Hit Ctrl + P ( This will bring up PREFERENCES ).
3. Click “Plug-Ins”.
4. Click “General Purpose”.
5. Select “Yahoo! Messenger Plug-In 1.0.0 build 9 (i.e)” from the list, to highlight.
6. Go DOWN ~&~ Click “Configure”.
7. That will bring up a smaller box.
8. You will see %A – %T – %U.
9. *ERASE* ” %U ” from that list.
10. Click OK.
11. Close Preferences Box.
12. Restart WINAMP ~&~ Yahoo! Messenger.:confused:~|~ There ya go…no more annoying Url ( link ) taking song title space up.
The link will now only be shown when WINAMP is closed. =) ~|~:confused:
