Looking for a cd stereo system for a friends car. She had a 1997 Dodge Neon…not that it probably matters too much. She wants a good cd player for it. One that is a faceplate…can take it on/off. Not looking to spend more than $250.
I saw some pretty nice knows…but I have no clue if they are the best or not because I never got one for my car, and never really worried about it too much. I know a guy who owns an appliance store, and he said “Sony” is okay but not the best, He said Pioneer is pretty good…but i’m just trying to find some other people that can tell me what might be reallly good for a car.
Here is one that I saw:

Any help would be much appreciated,
thanks!
you can get almost any brand for $250 these days, but as far as brand names go i think Alpine is the best.
Some of the top brands are Kenwood, Pioneer, JVC, Sony, and one of the newest additions is Dual, Dual started out cheap, generic type and all but over the last couple of years they’re becoming more popular, i used to have a Dual stereo with Dual subs and amp in my old car and it worked great, lasted untill i sold it and i never had any problems with it. You can get pretty much any of these brands at any store.
Hope this helped you.

Dual? I’ve never heard of em. Pyle is another popular company, but if you want performance I suggest Pioneer. I run a Pioneer and EVERYONE I know does as well. 9/10 performance experts would reccomend Pioneer.
If you’re looking into speakers and subs/amps THEN we can talk! You’re deck isn’t really a big deal but it will for sho get some great punch out of you’re stocks!
